Summer time and taking it easy…

(but a bit of business as usual!)

We’re running towards our quieter summer months.

We are having a garden party for members and patrons in June. High tea, entertainment, quiz, socialising and a final bit of fundraising for our charity of the year.

It’s then on to our Annual General Meeting to sort out a new committee, our next charity of the year and all the other bits and bobs that go into running a drama club.

Details of our 2011/12 season to follow soon.

California Suite

by Neil Simon

We presented this American comedy at St Alban’s Church Hall at 7.30 pm on May 5th, 6th and 7th.

The play follows the experiences and relationships of different people who book rooms 203 and 204 – the California Suite. Neil Simon’s humour and insight shine through in each of the scenes. The script was also turned into an Oscar winning Hollywood movie.

Edwina Lloyd, Sally Noble and Geoffrey Crass are each directing one act from the play ‘California Suite’, which is a comical confection with Neil Simon at his most humourous and compassionate best.
