Spring production

We’re really pleased that Debbie Wills – Mick’s and Betty’s daughter – is going to direct us this spring.

She has decided to present a play by Alan Ayckbourn and is homing in on a final choice.
Please get in touch if you’re interested and available to be cast for the April production.

Feedback on The Snow Queen

The Snow Queen has been extremely well received and good box office means we’ll be donating £500 to the RNLI.

Congratulations once again to Chris on the show and the many positive comments he’s received. Chris is still looking for two missing scripts – 2 and 10 – please let him know if you’ve got them!
The committee also wishes to thank all those involved in constructing and striking the set – good turn outs for both.
Ian Marsh’s CD of photos is available and features all the scenes – copies £5 (50/50 to the club and the RNLI) e-mail adrian.brown33@googlemail.com if you’d like a copy.

The Snow Queen

by A play by Ron Nicol, based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen

26th – 28th November

Adapted from the famous original story by Hans Christian Andersen, The Snow Queen is the story of Gerda, a young girl who searches for her friend Kai when he is bewitched and imprisoned by the Snow Queen in her ice palace. Gerda’s innocence charms all good people and animals she meets on the way. They help her to escape the Enchantress, lead her to the royal court, and on to Lapland, where, in a final confrontation with the Snow Queen’s ice creatures, good conquers evil and the children are reunited.
