Congratulations and celebrations!

We had a wonderful night at the Bristol 1-Act Festival, when St Alban’s Players won eight of the fourteen awards on offer!!  Well done to everyone involved.

The results:

1^st place: St. Ursula’s Players for Act 2 of “My and My Friend” by Gillian Plowright

2^nd place: St. Alban’s Players for “Conkers” by Barbara Crass

3^rd place: St. Alban’s Players for “Georgie Boy” by Rob Withers

Best Actor: Russell Hancock in “Georgie Boy”

Best Supporting Actress: Jill Gill in “Georgie Boy”

Best Supporting Actor: Barry Davies in “Georgie Boy”

Best  Set Decor: Jane Birakos for “Conkers”

Best original play: “Georgie Boy” by  Rob Withers

Best play voted by audience: “Georgie Boy”.

Didn’t they do well??

As “Conkers” took second place, they will now go through to the next round of the All-England Drama festival which will be held on Saturday 14th April at the Olympus Theatre, Tickets and details from Jill Gill (Tel. 924 7266).  Please come along and cheer them on.
