About us

The Players have been presenting high-quality amateur theatre in Bristol's Westbury Park area since 1973.

2009 started with a bang for us.

The Players production of "Cecily" by Gillian Plowman swept the board at the Bristol One Act Drama Festival.

The production won trophies for:
First place in the festival
Best Actress Trophy - shared by Emma Walton and Wendy Withers
Charles Cash Award - for director Barbara Crass
Les Solomon Décor Award - best set

The cast and crew went on to All England Theatre Festival quarter finals in April

We hope you'll get involved with our club. We're always keen to hear from people interested acting or in all the back stage or front of house roles necessary for putting on a play.

And of course we'd love to see you join our audience or sign up as a patron.

To find out more come along to one of our club nights or fill in our contact form and we'll be in touch.
